The Stawell Austin Radiation Oncology Service (SAROS) will be operating a superficial radiation therapy service at Stawell Hospital. This will be the first time a public superficial treatment option has been available to patients in the Western district. This in an opportunity for health professionals to understand what the service can offer, how it will operate and what conditions could potentially be treated by Superficial Radiation Therapy.

Learning Outcomes:

  • insight into how Superficial Radiation Therapy works
  • understanding of how SAROS will operate in relation to Superficial Radiation Therapy
  • knowledge of what conditions are appropriate to be referred for Superficial Radiation Therapy treatment and what information is needed on a referral

Hear the latest on SafeScript, the Victorian Government's real-time prescription monitoring system at this CPD accredited 'live-stream' training event. This session will cover the background of the system and the key information you need to use it in our practice or pharmacy including an overview of high-risk medicines and how to have challenging conversations with your patients about high-risk medicines.

This training is primarily aimed at Victorian General Practitioners and Pharmacists, although all interested Health Professionals are welcome to register and watch the sessions.
